The integrator company drilling stations energy accounting system now tracks fueling, consumption and discharges

The integrator company specialists have developed a solution based on the Galileosky tracking devices that allowed to save from 2 to 10 fuel cubic metras and also monitor the entire path of the fuel flow: from delivery to the site to recieving by the consumer.

Development background

Integrator was approached by the company that drills oil and gas wells and uses mobile and stationary drilling stations in the fields.

Earlier, the specialists of the integrator company have developed the Pulsar system for the energy resources accounting on mobile and stationary stations. Now the customer had a need to monitor the fuel flow and the power consumption on the drilling stations and associated consumers, as well as to keep reports and analyze expenses.

Project tasks

  1. Refine the existing energy accounting system at the drilling station
  2. Develop a system for accounting for the movement of the fuel during tanker refueling, consumers fueling and tracking vehicle refueling.
  3. Online control of the quality and quantity of fuel delivered (mass, volume, density).


Inside a separate shipping container, an automated diesel fuel metering system Pulsar was created, it consists of:

  1.  Pumps;
  2.  Filtration systems;
  3.  Mass flow sensors;
  4.  Gas sensor;
  5.  And other auxiliary elements.

According to the customer's specifications, it is possible to assess the quality, volume and mass of fuel online.

The fuel dispenser brings the fuel and fills the tanks at the fuel warehouse through the automated fuel flow accounting system (AFFAS) Pulsar that records the volume, mass, density and temperature of the fuel. After the fuel dispenser has filled the fuel tank, the fuel is pumped to the consumers (diesel generator set, drilling pumps, boiler house, drilling station, steam generator set). The data from the Pulsar automated control system is sent to the customer's server using the specially developed by Integrator Pulsar controller. For data transmission inside the controller there is a special protocol conversion board, that sends the information in a formed packet to the Galileosky tracking device, and then it sends everything to the server via the Easy Logic technology .

Galileosky trackers with additional sensors are also installed on the customer's equipment and the refueling report shows information about the type of equipment, refueling time and quantity.

«For example, we see that the tank was discharged for 100 liters of fuel, it means that 100 liters should be filled into any consumer. The user logs in the personal account on the server and can see all the objects or can choose the desired one and see the graphs or generate the report on the movement of fuel and consumption. Therefore, the program will show that the drilling pump was filled up and we can see the flow of 100 liters. So, we can see that the fuel is not stolen and there was a real refueling of the consumer». 


The solution allowed the customer to prevent fuel theft and to keep an accurate accounting of energy resources. Previously, the customer relied only on manual reports of responsible persons, and fuel overspending was simply charged off.

Now with the automated fuel flow accounting system (AFFAIRS) Pulsar it is possible to load information and generate reports of the day, week, month of operation of the drilling station and consumers.
