A large transport company specializing in the transportation of light oil products needed to develop a solution that would not only monitor transport but also automate some processes within the company. The Customer has its own fleet of fuel trucks and a developed network of branches in the Russian Federation, so it is important to use a unified monitoring solution for all divisions.
Develop a monitoring system that takes into account the specifics of the business, supports work with the customer's internal systems, and monitors the operation of transport in regional divisions in a single window.
During the project, a comprehensive solution was created that covers all the main monitoring tasks:
The system also solves special tasks: for example, the activation of the security mode is performed automatically. The system compares a number of parameters, such as the weight of the vehicle, the location of the object in the allowed geofence, the use of a trusted key, and a number of others. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, a decision is made on the feasibility of putting the fuel truck under protection. This technically complex solution was made possible thanks to the functionality of Easy Logic. In total, about 3200 geo-zones are involved in the project, for each of which there can be up to 10 trusted keys. One of the key differences was the implementation of the entire security logic of the system on the tracker's side, which allows maintaining operability even in the absence of communication with the server.
The project implemented the receipt of video streams from cameras and a video recorder in online mode. The system detects possible violations: falling asleep, smoking, talking on the phone.
Integration with 1C and ERP systems was carried out to load data from waybills.Algorithms for collecting data from the vehicle's CAN bus have implemented complex filtering to filter out incorrect data and mathematical transformations, including for calculating those parameters that can be calculated according to the laws of mechanics. Data that was intentionally distorted by the manufacturer to complicate third-party service was disassembled.
A smart system for operating the polling of tilt sensors and working with the loss of information from sensors has been implemented. For this purpose, the characteristics of the lack of communication, the determination of the configuration of sensors and the types of equipment in which they are installed were implemented using advanced scripting tools.
Switching between SIM cards has been optimized. If the data from the active communication operator continues to accumulate but is not transmitted, a switch to a backup SIM card will occur.
An algorithm has been developed for collecting and analyzing data from acceleration sensors and the vehicle data bus up to 10 times per second, in order to obtain a complete picture of the driver's behavior without missing important data, for further use in assessing his driving style, including the separation of impacts on the suspension.
After the "pilot" and debugging of the system, the entire fleet of 700 vehicles was transferred to the new platform. From the point of view of efficiency, the result is the complete elimination of unauthorized fuel drains, thanks to the implemented solution. Also, during the operation of the system, it was possible to minimize fines for speeding and excessive parking. The system also simplified work processes by minimizing human participation. Automation of processes allows freeing up staff time. It can be noted that over time, an increasing number of departments will use the data obtained, which will provide a certain economic effect both in logistics processes and in terms of personnel management.
