Project background

Agroholdings growing sugar beets are some of the largest land users in country. The process of growing raw material for sugar production consists of many factors, violation of which affects the yield and the sugar content in the root. It is important to control all the stages of the sugar beet cultivation technological process: from soil preparation for sowing - to transportation of the crop.

A sugar beet producer has appealed to Interra with the request to control the plough depth penetration when plowing the soil. Every year the customer was losing a part of the harvest because of plowing procedure violations: deviation of the plowing tool by half a centimeter caused the root crops to grow different size. Both too small and too big beets were unable to accumulate the required amount of sugar, moreover, such roots were difficult to pick. It would seem that a minor violation of the technological process of soil preparation resulted in large financial losses for the enterprise.

To control the compliance of the parameters of the agroholding machinery, Integrator experts have developed the packaged solution Deeplow. The technological stack of Deeplow includes Galileosky 7x tracking devices, Easy Logic technology, Wialon monitoring software, Deeplow software application and sets of sensors selected for different types of equipment.

Solution

The Deeplow solution gives the precise control over The plough depth penetration monitoring during the soil preparation. The solution is unique as it takes into account the individual characteristics of different equipment. The set of sensors is selected in accordance with the structural peculiarities of the equipment. The information is collected and processed by the controller. The Galileosky tracking device with Easy Logic technology is responsible for data collection, initial processing, and tracking.

The system has an algorithm that processes and filters the data. The speed of vehicles is determined by the Galileosky GLONASS tracking device in the Wialon software. The level of the plough depth penetration is a technically complex metric that is calculated for a particular machine. Usually we use a complex of one or more sensors and the Easy Logic script for Galileosky tracking device.

Now an Android application is being developed, it will allow the machine owners to track data. In addition, by next season they will be able to see the data on plough depth penetration control on the standard screen. In the next six months, we plan to implement an ISOBUS gateway for compatibility with the main screen types for use in the tractor cab

Result

Deeplow is already used in several commercial farming operations. The pilot testing of Deeplow on European machines has been a success.

The unique Deeplow platform has attracted the interest of the distributors of agricultural equipment, the manufacturers of trailed agricultural units and global developers of specialized ISOBUS screens for mechanisers.
