The main challenge for the customer, UTILITSERVICE LLC, a company specializing in the collection, transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste, was the need to confirm the fact of waste acceptance. This required recording the exact time and date of acceptance, the location where it occurred, and the weight of the received waste. Photographic evidence of the acceptance process was required as official documentation.
During installation, difficulties could arise with integrating a photo camera designed to capture the weighing process, as not every camera meets the necessary technical requirements.
It was also critical to ensure uninterrupted transmission of waste photos to the Wialon system during weighing.
To provide the customer with a system for photo documentation and weight measurement of removed waste, ensuring automatic transfer of all records into the monitoring system.
GPS/GLONASS Galileosky terminals were used as the foundation for implementing both types of monitoring. Thanks to the Easy Logic technology, which enables autonomous programming, algorithms were created to ensure seamless interaction between all system components. Reporting functionality was developed within the monitoring platform.
The implementation included:
Selecting and configuring equipment
Developing an algorithm to control the scales and camera
Testing
Creating a reporting package
Pilot operation
Commissioning
Ongoing analytics from the integrator, including timely identification of malfunctions
Implementation on a garbage truck:
A specially designed weighing system is integrated into the vehicle’s hydraulics. The container is gripped by the lifting mechanism, raised, and emptied into a dedicated compartment. A sensor installed in the system detects the moment of lifting and initiates the weight reading and photo capture. As with the cargo truck, the weighing process is accompanied by buzzer signals.
Implementation on a cargo truck:
The cargo truck is equipped with a hardware set that includes a voltage converter (12/220 V), platform scales, a camera, a weighing activation button, and an audible indicator. All system components operate together through a specialized algorithm.
The implementation of weight and photo documentation for biological waste removal significantly increased the client’s competitiveness. By including these conditions in tender documentation, the client was able to offer more transparent and justified pricing—strengthening their reputation and improving customer trust.
The economic benefits gained by the client include:
1. Reduction of operational costs.
The introduction of professional data-recording standards reduced operational errors and disputes with contractors. A high level of process documentation helped the client avoid fines and misunderstandings with regulatory bodies.
2. Increased competitive advantages.
The client was able to participate in larger and more profitable tenders. Thanks to clear and well-supported proposals, they won contracts worth tens of millions of rubles, directly increasing revenue and strengthening financial stability.
3. Enhanced company image.
The project strengthened the client’s reputation as a reliable partner, attracting new customers and expanding market presence. Their innovative approach to waste handling demonstrated a commitment to modern standards and sustainable development—an important factor for investors and partners amid today’s environmental requirements.
In summary, the project to document biological waste removal conditions resulted in substantial financial and reputational benefits. It not only strengthened the client’s market position but also laid the foundation for further growth and long-term success.
