The Challenge

The main task of the client, specializing in the collection, transportation and disposal of hazardous waste, was the need for documentary confirmation of waste acceptance. For the legitimacy of the process, it was necessary to record:

  • Exact time and date of acceptance
  • Location of the operation
  • Mass of accepted waste
  • Photographic evidence of the process

At the same time, there were technical difficulties with the integration of a photo camera for recording the weighing process, as not every equipment has the necessary characteristics for this task.

It was critically important to ensure uninterrupted transmission of cargo photos to the monitoring system at the moment of weighing.

Project Goal

To provide the client with a photo documentation and weight recording system for removed waste with automatic transfer of reports to the monitoring system.


The Solution

GPS/GLONASS devices were used as the basis for implementing the control system. Thanks to autonomous programming technology, algorithms were developed that ensure the interaction of all system components.

Implementation on Garbage Truck

A specially developed weighing system was integrated into the vehicle hydraulics:

  • The container is caught by the claw, the mechanism lifts it and dumps the contents into a special compartment
  • A sensor installed in the system detects that weighing is occurring at the moment of lifting
  • The sensor initiates weight reading of the cargo and takes a photo
  • The weighing process is accompanied by buzzer signals

Implementation on Cargo Truck

The cargo truck was equipped with a set of equipment including:

  • Voltage converter 12/220 Volts
  • Floor scales
  • Photo camera
  • Weighing procedure activation button
  • Sound signalizer

All system components are integrated via a specialized algorithm.


Project Results

The implementation of the project for recording conditions of biological waste removal allowed the client to significantly increase their competitiveness in the market.
